So many things in life are beautiful and wondrous to contemplate. To think on
these great things would change our outlook on life and let us more easily see
the greatness of God in His glory. To walk in newness of mind is to think on the
marvelous aspects of victory in Christ and to direct our eyes onto the goal and
purpose of our lives - to honor the glorified Christ. The enemy would want us to
concentrate on the negative and sinful things around us. To focus on sin and
degradation will cause us to turn away from the work of God in our lives.
Through all the difficulty of life itself, and the wickedness around us, let us
keep looking up, pressing toward the mark, seeking those things which are above,
and seeing the beauty of what God has planned for His people in eternity. DEM |
