Pastor’s Corner: Going to the dentist has never been my favorite thing to do. Last week I had a dental appointment to have my teeth cleaned. This week I have another appointment for a crown and a filling. I thought of this sequence while studying last week, in relation to our spiritual lives. We are so in need of continued cleaning. The cleaning had to be done prior to receiving the crown and the filling. How true this is for us. We need the cleansing work of Christ before we can receive the filling of the Holy Spirit and the Crown of Righteousness, which He has promised to His children. May I encourage you to stay clean! Apply the principles of I John 1:9 and confess your sin daily. Pray for His filling so that you might enjoy the greatness of His power and strength in your life. Remember, there is a crown that awaits the faithful. Let’s be clean and filled, and ready for the Master’s use. DEM
