It must have been incredibly exciting as the Jesus and the disciples walked toward Jerusalem and up the Mt. of Olives. The anticipation must have been immense. Jesus, walking the path of entry into the Great City of His ancestors, His knowledge of His fulfillment of prophecy, knowing His future of sitting upon the throne of David, the events which would lead to His death, burial and resurrection, the coming of the Holy Spirit, the beginning of the New Testament Church, and His ascension into Glory. These events would reshape the entire world and the future of mankind on earth. It was not just a “walk into town” but the entry into Jerusalem signaled a succession of cascading events which would emancipate the world. DEM
